Same-day alerts from the Legislature's daily file

Everything under the dome.

The single workspace for the California Capitol. Watch a bill, get alerted the moment it moves, take a position, draft the letter, and prepare the disclosure.

No account needed to search.

Right now, you are the integration layer.

A Sacramento practice runs on a tracking subscription, a data feed, CAL-ACCESS, and a word processor. None of them talk to each other, so the same bill number and client position get re-keyed all week.

Today — four tools, re-keyed by hand
  • A tracking subscription for status and amendments
  • A separate feed for the bill text
  • Word and email for every position letter
  • CAL-ACCESS, opened by hand at filing time
With Rotunda — one record, carried through
  • Watch a bill and get alerted the moment it moves
  • See what changed in a version-to-version redline
  • Draft the letter from the client's recorded position
  • Prepare the disclosure from what you already logged

One session. One place to watch it from.

Redline any two versions

Compare versions word by word, additions and removals highlighted, so an amendment reads as a diff instead of two PDFs.

Track it in one dashboard

Every bill from introduced to chaptered or vetoed. Search bill text and the code sections it touches, and keep a bill book for each client.

Alerts tuned to the deadline

A daily digest of what changed, saved searches that pick up newly matching bills, and the Legislature's deadline calendar over your bills.

Positions on the record

Attach a position to a client and keep a timestamped history of when it changed and who changed it.

Draft the letter from the bill

Support and opposition letters drafted from the bill and the client's position. You review and send it yourself.

The room, cross-referenced

Who disclosed lobbying on a bill in CAL-ACCESS, and which committee staffer to address — from your own imported staff directory.

Disclosure that starts from what you already logged.

Your registration, lobbyists, and client records carry into the draft, and every prepared version is kept. You review, sign off, and file with the Secretary of State yourself — there is no e-file path, on purpose.

The honest version.

Where does the bill data come from?

Official California legislative records by way of LegiScan: bill text and versions, status history, committee actions, and votes.

How often does status update?

Every flagged bill is checked hourly through the working day. Amendments, referrals, votes, and new hearing dates arrive in the digest and on the calendar.

Can other people on my team see my positions?

Yes. On a firm account, clients and positions are shared with everyone at the firm. Per-matter isolation between colleagues isn't built yet.

Can I bring my own contact spreadsheet?

Yes. Import a staff directory spreadsheet and it becomes searchable records with committee and caucus assignments, exportable to your phone's contacts.
